Lake Waramaug Conservancy

Lake Waramaug Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring and maintaining the ecology and water quality of Connecticut's 656-acre Lake Waramaug and its watershed through scientific monitoring, invasive species eradication, and ecosystem management.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, this CT-based non-profit (formerly Lake Waramaug Task Force) engaged us to mark this major milestone with an evolution of its brand.

Our Brand DNA process included one-on-one interviews and an extended survey of stakeholders. Our comprehensive learnings and insights enabled us to develop a new name, Lake Waramaug Conservancy, and logo which reflect the organization’s science-led work and accomplishments, as well as its mission as it approaches the next 50 years of lake preservation. We created a new website with compelling positioning and in-depth content about their work in and around the lake, their dedicated scientists, innovations they’ve implemented, and ways the community can support their efforts.

We also created a watercolor map of the lake and surrounding areas using custom illustrations we commissioned. This frame-worthy art became a personalized puzzle gifted to LWC supporters at their anniversary event.
